Reunions

This week has been really great, 'cause I've been able to hang out with some old friends from school that I don't get to see nearly as much as I'd like. Spending time with good friends and going out to eat have to be two of my favorite things, so these two reunions were so much fun for me.

Celebrating Mark and Jer's Birthday. Bird and Jenny were there! Yeah! I haven't seen Bird and Jer in ages, so this was a great time. And take a look at those fried bananas sitting on the table...those were sooo good.

Emily's in town for Thanksgiving, so we decided to meet up for dinner. Here we are in Anthropologie trying on some awesome hats. Kinzie made some poor innocent bystander snap this photo of us. Ha! We're dorks. These girls are my best friends, and I loved every second I was with them. I'm so grateful for good friends, so I'm gonna have to gush for a second...Kinzie (on the left in the photo) is someone I can call anytime for anything. I usually end up calling her when I'm feeling really low, and without fail, by the time we're done talking, I feel 100% better. She's amazing. Then there's Lisa with her beautiful red hair. I don't think Lisa realizes how incredibly smart and talented she is. I've always admired her for being so calm and collected about things. She's a great friend. And then there's Emily who is so sweet and genuine. I've always been jealous at how she manages to make friends so effortlessly. Everyone loves her, 'cause she makes it so easy to do so...I wish she lived closer. Okay, sorry, I'm done gushing...for now.

Oh wait, one more thing...

Here's an old picture of Katie. I am so lucky to have this girl in my life. Katie, you were missed the other night...It wasn't the same without you.

I'm so glad you were able to meet up with friends. I remember jam sessions with Bird...and the house with all you girls..oh the memories. I remember thinking how much fun I was going to have in college because you guys seemed to be having so much fun. I don't think I had as much fun as you did.

Anyways, back to the matter at hand... Girl...I own that hat you are wearing in that pic...you have complimented me on it...now I realize that I have a GIGANTIC head because it fits so tight on me!!! It is flopping down on your little head!!

I'm dying...

Haha! I know that's your hat, Girl. The greatest part about it though, is that I didn't realize it was yours until after the picture was taken. I just randomly grabbed a hat as quick as I could and threw it on my head for the picture. I love that hat.

That is an awesome picture of me!

I cried myself to sleep that night that I couldn't come. Aaron was out of town, I had the kids, I was sick. Boofreakinghoo.

NEXT TIME! :)

That looks like fun. Getting together with old friends is the best.

The coolest thing about getting back with old friends is that if it's a true friend, it is like you were never apart. I have a couple of friends like that were I have gone a year or longer without talking to them and then when you get to talk there is no awkardness. You can just step right into conversations without the feeling that you are being judged or have to worry about impressing anyone.

First off, I need to know if Maria is for real on the hat you are sporting and second of all thanks for gushing. I love all of us as well! I just can't get over the fact that that day was so awful for Katie and how much we wanted her there. And I really appreciate your comments on me, Monica. I came home telling Jason all about how well you are doing in your life and how you just have your head screwed on tight and right, does that make sense? I just kept talking/bragging about you (not any of the other, no offense, others.)

man Mon, that was such a sweet email. Sorry it's taken me forever to comment about it. I sure love you though and LOVE that we get to see each other sometimes. I still refer to you guys as my "roommates" (not in past tense). Love you all (and am SOOO sad Kate cried herself to sleep that night... we should have driven down to Orem and rescued her from her awful day...)
